Wrecked Fantasy

I suppose that I didn’t realize about how different she was until we passed that time… I didn’t want to change myself for the ball of that night, I just could think about that everything looked so familiar for me… But there was something different from the moments that I passed with Vanellope… She was different, she had to suffer so much but she even could show what was inside her heart and help the people… I knew that something was going to change in my life…

I was waiting for her outside the volcano, Dante told me that I had to protect her because he was sure that there would be people who are against her… Suddenly I heard something and I get surprised for what I saw… She was beautiful… She had some flowers on her hair and the dress was white and long… She was like a princess… I couldn’t believe that I was thinking about her in that way, but she smiled at me and she hugged me in the time she saw me.
“Glad you are going to come with me!”
“You don’t care that I didn’t do anything special to me?” She smiled and kissed me on the cheek.
“Don’t be silly! You are fine just being the way you are!”
“Vanellope would say something like… You have to look more…” She stopped me with her hand and she made an ironic smile as Dante use to do.
“That doesn’t matter! If you look good like this, why you should?” I smiled like an idiot and we walked on the way to the city “Common, we have to go!”

We went inside that place and all the people looked to us with that typical bad face of them. I hold the hand of Naoky and Serah stopped us with a bad face.
“What do you think you are doing here witch?” Naoky started to feel uncomfortable and I hide her behind me “What? You have now a big guardian? You will need it if you want to survive in the games… But you are not invited here…”
“Please, Serah…” The old man that I met in the market get close to us and Serah stopped looking so mad as she was… Then I realized that he was the king “They are part of this, so they have to be here dancing with us”
“But your Majesty…”
“They are very welcome!” Serah went away and he smiled to us making Naoky felt better “Common, enjoy yourself here and dance everything you want”
We listen to the king and some people told me to dance with them, I thought that I wouldn’t be good enough but I did it great, I was the center of the attention of the ball. But, even when Naoky looked so cute… Anyone wanted to dance with her… I felt stupid and I stopped dancing with a girl with long black hair and… Big features… To get close to Naoky and said the words that I should have said from the beginning:
“Can I have this dance my little lady?” She smiled and her face turned red.
“You don’t have to worry… If you want to dance with someone else, you can…” Suddenly a boy with white hair and a face like a child tell her to dance with her, then I decided to let the destiny decided.
“Ok, if you and I ended dancing, you’ll have to dance with me all night” She laughed “Seriously!”
“Deal!”
It didn’t pass a long time since we dance and we finished dancing together for a shock of destiny. We did a good couple dancing even the most energetic songs, I looked to her eyes every time and I realized how her dark eyes looked so deep and showed that shine on her… The music in that time when we stopped in the middle of the room it was slow, we looked each other and I couldn’t stop thinking every moment that I passed with her… She was special; she wanted to make me feel happy every moment even with her jokes… She was… So wonderful and she could look at me as a way that nobody could…
“Ralph…” Her voice made take attention on her and I hold her closer to my body “Tell me… I’m sure you have any girl behind you…”
“Not really… I’m not interesting of that… Even, this ball makes me think that Felix want to do a party to help me having a girlfriend… But it’s hard…”
“What it so hard?”
“That… It’s impossible that somebody can look at me like someone cute or even without thinking that I’m the bad guy…” Then I noticed the reason because I wasn’t interesting of having a girlfriend, it was because I wouldn’t hold the pain of being refuse from someone just because what am I.
“Don’t be a fool…” Her head ended in my chest and she smiled “You could take the heart of any girl that you want…”
“Naoky…” Our eyes get closer and I realized that I could feel her breathe close to my mouth “You are so beautiful…”
Our lips were going to crash when Naoky saw the girl of the factory, she noticed about our presence and we ran away from the place.
Naoky was keeping in my back while using her magic and the arc she defeated some enemies, something that surprise me and we ended it in the hideout really fast.

We let our bodies fell on Naoky’s bed and we laughed like crazies…
“Have you seen that?! I defeated some monsters!” She was happy to see that the level didn’t count so much.
“I knew that with some training you would be able of anything!”
“But Ralph… What if this place is not the real one that I want to be…”
“You say it for the people?” She was a little sad, so I decided to cheer her up because she needed it and I didn’t want her to see suffering “Common, everyone will see how wonderful you are because you are a good girl…”
She smiled at me and she fell asleep by my side holding me the best that she could, the warm of her body made me think many times that why I cared so much for her? … So that’s what Felix means… I thought while I cared her cheek while she was whispering my name in dreams Of course… I love you Naoky…

We were sleeping in the moment that I woke up and Vanellope and I get surprise of what we saw… Shadow was with so many soldiers taking us.
“You had nice dreams?” Shadow laughed of us and Vanellope tried to defeated them “Stop little girl, you can’t do anything…”
“Shadow! Why are you doing this?!” Vanellope screamed, she took some care of Shadow in this long time she passed with him “I thought we were friends…” She was going to cry when he fell on the ground because of a headache until he could get up.
“Stop! I’m just doing this for a reason…” Then I realized the truth when I saw that familiar woman who appeared by his side.
“Of course… You are helping her to kill Ralph, but why you Shadow?!”
“I want… To make Maria return…
“She will never turn back Shadow! But I thought you were my friend!” When Vanellope screamed that, the woman slapped her.
“Hey! Stop there lady!”
“Fix-It Felix Jr.” The woman talked and she get closer to me “We attracted that stupid Wreck-It Ralph so easily… And soon he will do exactly what I want…”
“You fool everyone! Even Shadow! But you can’t fool the heart of Ralph!”
“Oh common Felix! He is so naive… It’s perfect… You won’t interfere in this…”
She took us to a jail while Vanellope whispered something to Shadow:
“I should have known that you were bad…”
Shadow stopped sadly, like if he didn’t like to do that… But I wanted to believe that something would save us… That Ralph will…

“Common Ralph! The moment has come!” We came with the table and the weapon ready for the Hunt Games and Naoky was really excited “I can’t believe it! I’m going to play the Hunt Games and after of tonigh now I’m sure I can win!”
“Good point Naoky! I like how you feel today!”
“But Ralph do you think that I’ll be able to help this world when I win?” She looked worry and I touched her cheek smiling.
“Of course you will, because that people will realize that you are someone special and wonderful”
“Really?!”
“Everyone wants a leader like that!” She jumped happily and she hugged me.
She was going to go with the table with me when she stopped and ran back to the volcano.
“Where are you going?!”
“I have to give you something! Hold ond!”
She entered and I whispered to myself:
“How wonderful she is…”
I heard steps getting closer when I saw that woman who tried to catch us the last time, she was getting closer to me smiling.
“Ralph! I’m so glad to see you!”
But I caught her by the neck and she looked at me afraid.
“What do you want from Naoky this time?!” I showed how mad I was for her and she showed a smile “You better have a good reason…”
“I got it… And it’s for your little girlfriend…” I let her and she could breath again to let her talked “I knew you would listen to me…”
“You better explain me who you are”
“I’m Alyss, the assistant of the king and I want to tell you something really important about your friend… I’m sorry but she cannot win the games…”
“She didn’t do anything wrong to anyone! Why don’t you let her?!”
“I’m just trying to do the right thing for the kingdom! If she wins… She will be chosen for the game, and when they see that they can’t level up and that they die many times with strong enemies… They will think that our game is broken. Our people will be with no home, because we’ll be unplugged, but her system of data is broken, her mission is to be in this kingdom to protect it… And because of that… She will stay no matter what…” I could imagine her wanting to escape but the program didn’t let her because of her code Help me please!!! Somebody help me!!! “And when they unplugged it… She will die…”
“But…” That was similar to Vanellope… But it was right… Taking that mistake on her code, her program would never let her go… “What if that won’t happen? She is not a glitch, she can go if she wants!”
“But in that case, the program has more power over her, it will make her turn back to the game…” I sit trying to assimilate everything… But my heart was broken, I couldn’t let her died because I loved her… “I know it’s hard… But she will never listen to us… Can I trust you for doing it Ralph?” I agreed with my face and she came back to her place letting me alone…

I saw the arc with our names, the table which I helped her to use it… I didn’t want to make her suffer because she wanted to do this… But…
“I’m here!” She came close to me and I smiled like I use to with here.
“Ok… Can we talk about something Naoky?”
“Hold on! You have to close your eyes and show your hands”
“No, listen Naoky…”
“Pleaseeeeeeeee” I did it and I felt something in my hands, when I opened my eyes, I saw a gold medal like the one from Hero’s Duty but with the form of a heart, I felt scare that she did something wrong but I saw a copy of the original on her hands.
After being calm I readed what it was in the part of “Hero”:
“Ralph, you are my hero…” She did modifications to the first medal that I won for becoming it in a real medal… I couldn’t believe what I was seeing until Naoky smiled and talked me.
“I did it because you are for real my hero… And thanks to you I will win the hunt!”
“That means so much to me dear… But…”
“Common! I have to face the fate!” She was going to her table when I she put the heart medal on her neck and I looked at her worry “What’s up? You look worry…”
“Yeah because… It really cares those games?” She put a surprise face and she looked at me deeply “You know, maybe it’s not a good idea…”
“Ralph… Don’t worry, with your luck I’ll be able!”
“You can’t do it Nao!”
“What…?” She looked sad and she fell in sadness because of my words “But why you changed your mind…?”
“Ok, listen… I talked with the assistant of the king…”
“That Alyss?!”  She get surprised and mad “You’ve betrayed me?!”
“No! I would never betray you!” She hit me giving me the copy of the medal angry “Please you have to listen to me!”
“No! I will do it alone!” She put in the table when I decided to take her with my hands “Let me go!”
“No, you have to listen! When the players will see that you don’t level up, they will think that the game is broken!”
“I don’t mind!” She was trying to escape but I was stronger than her “You liar!”
“You should! Because if they try to unplug you, the program will make you stay here and you will die!”
“Stop Ralph! This is not about the program, this is the way I feel and what my heart needs!” I stopped her with the help of Dante and Vergil who took her side by side and I get closer to the weapon “Let me go! Why are you doing this to me?! I thought you were my friends!”
“We are doing this for the same reason as Ralph…” Dante said.
“We don’t want that you die” And Vergil finished the line.
They agreed with me and Naoky felt the worst with our views. I hold my hands before I wrecked the weapon that we did together with a big scream of Naoky:
“NOOOOOOOO!!! STOP!!! PLEASE!!!” She started crying like I never show her and she fell on the ground looking at me “I thought I have seen light inside you… And that you believe in me… I was wrong…”
She ran inside the volcano and I looked at the piece of our names while I took the medal. Dante and Vergil get close to me and I asked them:
“Why did you help me?”
“To us… Naoky is like our sister…” Dante said with a melancholy voice “She is our confidence and… Even when I’m the hero of my game, for example, to some people I look like a bad guy”
“Sometimes it doesn’t your job… Just your appearance…” Vergil looked sad and he get close to Dante and hold his hand “Or can’t accept the feelings that someone has…”
“We knew that someday we’ll have to do this… But it has to be by the hard way…” I knew that Naoky would hate me for the rest of her life… “Don’t worry Ralph, a friend of yours need the medal, you should come back now”
“Are you sure?” Dante agreed with Vergil.
“For you now, we’ll never let something happen to her…”
I just took the medal walking alone, feeling like the worst person around the world… Unless I saved her from the death…

When I came back, someone very familiar for me was waiting with a little child by her side, it was Lucille, the daughter of Felix and Calhoun; she hugged me and Calhoun get closer with a serious face but surprised to see me with the medal, she took it and she smiled ironic.
“You always have to help people don’t you?”
I look around and I didn’t see Felix with her…
“Calhoun… Where is Felix?”
“He went to that world looking for you… When we realized that you were there to help me, we want to help you; but now I’m worry for him…”
“It’s all my fault…” I sit close in my old house and Calhoun sit with me.
“You know? I thought that you were the biggest idiot around the universe… With this you show me you are a nice person as Felix, I’m glad for it, thanks to you, my game won’t be unplugged…”
“I’m the worst…” She didn’t understand and I told her the story with all the details as my feelings for her “Now she hates me… Why do I have to be such a fool?”
“Ralph… You did it for a good reason… She could die…” I agreed “But…” Suddenly Calhoun, by a strange code she could do another medal from the copy “She is good… She even can control some datas of the program…”
“What?!” That made me thought about what Alyss said and when I saw the machine of the videogame of Naoky… I saw her image but with a different look that the one that she has…
I launched the new copy of the medal like the old times… Because I let alone Naoky… And my suspects made real when Dante and Vergil came desperate for my help…
It was time to solve things…

Serah was walking to go to the games when Dante stopped her in the middle of the way and I appeared with Vergil.
“Hey little girl! Can you explain me something?” I looked mad at her and she tried to ran away but Vergil caught her “Don’t run and tell me, if Naoky can control the code of the program and she shouldn’t play, why in the machine she looks with a different look and as the principal character from the story of this game?”
“I don’t have anything to say!” Suddenly Dante smoke in front of her face and Vergil took close to her body an innocent frog “IIIIIIIIK!!! What a disgusting things!”
“You better talk lady…”
“Ok ok!!! Naoky was the principal character of this game and she could control the code of the program normally until Alyss broke a little her data”
“She break it? And why?”
“I don’t know the reason! But the only thing I know is that she want to make control her but the king protect her for some reason, and there is something more… She will do anything to kill her, because if she wins, all her powers will be restore as it should be”
“Where is she?”
“In the jail with Fix-It Felix and Vanellope”
“They?!”
We ran letting her with no weapon and going to the jail as fast as I could.

The first one we found was Felix who was glad to see me.
“Thank you so much friend” He hugged me and he smiled at me when I showed him the broken weapon “You need me to fix it?”
“Yeah please…”
Then, Vanellope appeared running with Shadow the Hedgehog, something that we get surprised about…
“I’m doing this because…” He turned red when he looked to Vanellope while she was smiling at him “I don’t trust in that woman anymore…”
“And that he is a stinks brain as my Ralph!” She finished the word and I being Felix to fix the weapon “You need it for someone?”
“Yeah! For the first person I have ever love!” Everyone looked at me surprised and Felix smiled at me “I broke her heart trying to protect her Felix, but now I want to do the things right… Please, fix it Felix! And I’ll make clear all my promises to you…”
He smiled and showed his hammer…

When I broke a wall I saw the sad face of Naoky crying and holding in her hands the gold medal of heart, she looked at me surprised for the weapon while Dante and Vergil were saying their apologies to her.
“I’m really sorry Naoky…” I apologized too when Dante let her out “I hope you can forgive me…”
“You know Ralph…” She smiled at me and looked at me with that joker face of her “I’m going to punish you after that I win the games!”
“You don’t hate me…?”
“You wanted to protect me… You wanted to save my life…” She smiled letting a tear fell from her cheek “That’s something that nobody else did for me… My butterfingers…”
I smiled at her showing that of course I did it for her… Because I love her…

I felt the screams of everywhere, even I could hear the voice of the king starting the games for the hunters:
“Ok, my dear hunters! The time has come! I wish you luck and that the Hunt Games begin!”
The games started making them hide in the forest while me with the rest of my friends went to the goal of the game and I was decided to start.
“Remember Naoky!” Ralph tried to cheer me up while everyone stayed in the goal while I was driving the table taking my fix it weapon with me “You have to be careful, you still in level 1, try to do everything to survive and you’ll be the winner!”
“I’m a real hunter already Ralph” Vanellope smiled at me because of those words.
I looked at Ralph for the last time, keeping the medal in my chest, knowing that when this finished I would be able to say everything that he made me feel… I was ready “And I’m gonna win for you!”
I went fast with my table and entered the forest to fight against the hunters.

The fight was hard but using my magic and everything that I learnt from Ralph and the others, I could defeat some of them. I looked in every victory the medal and I felt how my body was blinking, I closed my eyes and I calmed down myself:
“You can do it… You don’t have to be nervous… Ralph trusts you…” I kept the medal in my chest thinking about his smile “I’m not a hunter of level 1 anymore!”

Everything was going well with the fight of Naoky, there were another hunter called Cloud and her. I was waiting impatiently for her victory.
“Ralph!” Dante advice me of Alyss coming close to us.
“I hope you’ll be happy for this Wreck-It Ralph…” She looked at every one of us “Even the traitors are with you… But you cannot support the pain that you are going to pass!”
“What are you talking about?!” I faced her with anger “You lied me! She can control the code of the program! She doesn’t have to be here! You stole her life!”
“What’s going on here in my kingdom?!” The king came closer to me when Alyss hit him “Alyss, why are you doing this my child?” He passed a headache and he looked at her confused “But… I think… I was with someone different and I take care of her…”
“Yes my lord! It was someone different because it was that little girl that you care so much!” We stayed surround by fire and I realized about it…
“You are a witch too when you try to make everyone against her!!!”
“Common Ralph! Don’t fool yourself! How a principal character can control the program huh? I’ll tell you… Being a virus…” We get surprised and I looked at the image of Naoky “Yes Ralph, Naoky became a virus because I infected her when I took this world from her”
“Why did you do something like this?! She didn’t do anything wrong to you!”
“But you do! I’m a virus and my fate was to be alone… Until I met Turbo… My beloved Turbo! But you killed him… And I will never forgive you for what you did! I gave him the idea to rule the world of Sugar Rush, I told him to rule EVERYTHING! But I lost him… How do you think I felt when I found this world and the similar life of Naoky with Vanellope? Revenge…” She was transforming into a big monster as when I saw Turbo for the last time “This is the end Ralph! The girl is weak! And she can die easily and I’ll be the one who will kill both of you!!!”
We dodged the hit because of Naoky, she came with the table and protected us with a shield. Naoky hugged me and Alyss started infecting the world and becoming it dark and poor.

We decided to ran and everything was going well when we passed the exit with all the people of the game… But suddenly, Naoky disappeared from my side and she turned back on the game.
“Ralph! I can’t go with you!” I didn’t want to give up and I tried to take her with me but every time that I did it, she came back to the world because of the program… I was sure that it was because of Alyss “It’s impossible…” I looked at her and she touched my cheek caring on me “You have to come back to your world Ralph…” Felix was going to use the same bomb as Calhoun in Sugar Rush “Common… Go without me…”
“I can’t let you… I love you…”
She smiled and she made that the fire became a fire heart and I remembered about the cy-bugs… I looked to the volcano and I took the table fast.
“Felix! All the virus felt attract of the light?!”
“Calhoun told me that yes but… Why?! Don’t tell me…”
“Yes, I have to if Naoky want to be the princess of this world” Suddenly she put in the table with me and it started driving “ Naoky… But!”
“This is my kingdom! And I have to protect my friends… And you…”
We went together to the fight. Naoky set fireballs to the center of the volcano while I hit it trying to force the rocks to impulse the volcano. It was close when Alyss hit us and trapped Naoky with some worms monsters.
“Now you’ll lose everything you care Ralph! I should thank you for this… But as Turbo said, I think I should kill you…”
She attacked me hitting me hard while Naoky was flooded of those creatures more and more. Finally the woman flew with me taking me and I saw how Naoky started blinking and disappearing some parts of her arm on her code because of the bit of the monsters.
“Naoky!!!”
“Look Ralph! I told you, she is weak! And you’ll see how she die!”
“No!!!” She was disappearing slowly in codes…
“It’s game over Ralph…”
“No…” I looked at her and I realized that I have to hit one more time the volcano and it would erupt, so I let go from her and I fell from the sky.

I saw Ralph falling, sacrificing his life while I was too weak… I realized that I had to do something and I wanted to help him. I was infected for a virus… Then I tried to change the code, it was really hard for me… Even the power that I had to use for so much, made part of my hair turned white and I heard even the words of Ralph in my head… I started to cry…
“I’m bad… And that’s good…” I repeated his words “I will never be good and that’s not bad, and there is no one that I’d rather be…”


Than me…

I hit the volcano and I let my body fell when someone took me and flew close to the entry of the volcano. It was Naoky flying with a magic and smiling at me.
“Naoky!”
“Don’t worry! This is on control!”
The eruption appeared with the last fireball of Naoky and Alyss went to the light of the lava like an insect…

We won and everything was going well, everyone was celebrating. Even Dante kissed Vergil but he enjoyed it. Naoky passed to be the winner of the hunt and some many lights surrounded her, making her becoming the style that I saw in the machine, with a dress and long hair, but the white mark in her hair stills in her.
I knew that the time to left it came… I looked at her sad, I hugged her and she whispered me:
“Maybe you could live in the castle… I can still using the ability of the virus… You could live happily with me…”
“I’m happy Naoky…” We looked each other and I smiled to her “I love the best girl that I could ever love… And I have a good job with nice people and more friends who care about me”
Felix and the others smiled to us and I did the same sign that I did to Vanellope to say goodbye…
“I love you Ralph…” She said that made me smile bigger.
“I love you too…” I walked close to my friends looking at her “Freak princess!”
“Goodbye my butterfingers!”
“Goodbye babe!”

I was crying like I have ever cried… My grandfather, the king, hugged me and looked at my friends and took away my tears.
“You know why you still having that ability Naoky?” He asked me smiling “Because you always knew, that sometimes it doesn’t matter what a program says… It cares what the heart tells you…” I smiled and I understood what he said to me “Do what your heart tells you… Letting be where you belong…”
I looked to the blue sky being sure that soon we would meet again…


Epilogue


“I’m gonna wreck it!” I screamed when it was time to work.
My job didn’t change… But after all the things that I learnt from Naoky, I decided to know better the nicelanders and help them and you know? Now they are my big friends! It’s really nice…
Felix and Calhoun are really glad with their little girl, even I think she is going to have her first job.
“We can fix it!” Father and daughter screamed together in the cop mode of the game.
We are very popular indeed.

And you know what? Another weeding! But this time for Dante and Vergil, the demon couple! They did a good couple for real, but I get impressed about Vanellope and Shadow… I think they like each other…

But far of that… The best day of my life it was the day of our anniversary. Because when I saw that the image of Naoky it was no longer on the machine of her game... She entered the party… With a style like me but in female style… She came through the people smiling at me, she hugged me and I couldn’t believe what she did… She changed her code to be a character of this game…
“Why…?” I asked her while everyone was looking at us “What about your world? After all you have to pass…”
“Ralph… My world…” She touched my cheek caring on it “Is where you are… Because you are my world…”
I kissed her feeling the warm of her lips while everyone was clamping, smiling and screaming of happiness with our friends.

Now I realized why I helped Vanellope and why I passed all those things in my life… I t wasn’t for the program that follow my life… She is my world… Everything that I need and with my friends my world is bigger… But I’m sure that… If I have people like that and I passed the things that I passed…

What you find in your life it’s what your heart make you follow…
